A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run ApacheDirectoryStudio. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations
I was working with a CSP in order to launch A directory feature, and i was using Apache Directory Studio to run tests and make directory work, so I though some people might face this issue.
If you're getting this error:
A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run ApacheDirectoryStudio. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations
You only need to download a Java Development Kit (JDK).
According to Apache, that's actually one of the requirements 😋 So, they recommend us to install Java 11 or later, and AdoptOpenJDK (click here).
After installing that JDK, try running Apache Directory Studio again, and it should work now.
